Today was Dylan's first official game of the season! The kids played great and had a blast playing. Dylan hit it every time he was at bat. He assisted in 2 runs, got out on first, and you know those hits that seem to skim across the ground but don't actually touch the ground.... the other team caught one of those he hit. It was actually a great hit and an awesome catch.
Now for the Bad Calls part.....
I don't know why but our games are almost exclusively reffed by 13/14 year old refs. I love that these kids get experience reffing.... however we REALLY need some adults in there. About 80% of the calls were wrong at bat. ( I will be fair here and say that they were equally bad for both teams.)
In all I think today was a GREAT game and can't wait until we play again.
